We spread the love and joy of basketball by helping young girls keep the game fun — because too many leave the sport when it becomes too serious.

At Basketball is Fun, our mission is to spread the love and joy of basketball (and sports in general) by reminding players, parents, and coaches that the game can and should always be fun.

We especially strive to empower young girls to stay in the sport by creating a positive and encouraging environment that values giving 100% effort, being a great teammate, learning how to compete, battling through adversity (okay, maybe it's not ALWAYS fun) and enjoying the journey which is a season and career.  

We believe that you can be competitive, committed, and striving for excellence—while still smiling, laughing, and loving all the good things the game and sports has to offer.

POSITIVITY

Introduction to negative environments too early takes the fun out of the game. Basketball is Fun promotes surrounding players with positivity in all aspects.

CONFIDENCE

Doubt and pressure too early can hold players back from discovering what they're capable of. Basketball is Fun encourages building confidence on and off the court.

KEEPing IT FUN

When the game becomes all about the outcomes, players can lose the joy that brought them to it. Basketball is Fun celebrates the moments that remind players why they fell in love with the sport in the first place.
